It's been a long time coming

So i feel as if i've kind of neglected the blog and maybe that's why i've seem to have fallen off lately, i actually have put up some fairly nice scores but other than a $ 600 check from pokerstars have nothing to show for it. I find it hard now to play for both my self on stars and my backer everywhere else, it's hard to have 4 sites open at once and it kind of gives me a headache at times and the headaches tend to tilt me for some reason. The past couple days it seems like my game has gone back to what it was, and lately more consistent finishes. Now more and more often i'll need to blog to keep me motivated the WSOP is right around the corner and that should be motivation enough, my goal was 5 wsop events, we'll see how much i actually get. I can't wait for the summer, i love playing during the summer. Without further adue, i think im going to start turning the blog into a weekly finishes thing, to show how much more consistent with cashes im getting, but i will be updating IF AND WHEN i hit something big.

February is a WHOOOOOLE new month

So to start off February right ill try to start posting daily on this thing...and i am going to get motivated and setup the website very very very soon now that work is slowing down.

Well i kinda snuck outta work early so i could get down there to play some cash before i had to wait in line for an hour to register for the tourney. Get down there and fucking valet is full and it stays full even after i drove around the block 9 times...which never usually happens. So parking garage it was.
There was a big list for the $50min $100 max $1/$2NL game but there was an open seat at the $200max table...only difference is the play is a lot better at the $200 game. So i sat down there. First hand i pick up Ah3h and end up floppin top pair with nut flush draw. Turn the nut flush and take down a $50 pot or so. Fourth hand or so i pick up 10's in the cutoff and it's folded around me to. So raisy daisy her on up to $12...button folds and small blind folds. Big blind reraises to $35 total. Now im not einstein here but im pretty suuure he has A's or K's here lol. But im not folding to $25 cause if i hit rack em up cause im doubling up. Well wouldnt you know it flop comes J 10 3. He IMMEDIATELY leads out $70 and i dont even waste a second and blurt out all in. Well when he insta calls i about shit my pants in fear of j's but he had K's. He also turned the flush draw and my set held for once. After playin for about 45 min it was time to get in line for the tourney. But im on a freeroll cause im up $250 already. Ended up playin a little roullette for a little bit and won $75 there too.

The Greektown Tourney is a very horrible structured tourney. I would never play this in a million yars if we had another tourney anywhere near me to play lol. The payouts are terribly top heavy and the blinds go up every 20 min. pretty much doubling every level. I wont go into great depths but i played like myself 2 months ago and destroyed it. Took a few beats here and there but come final table i was in decent shape with a mid stack. I liked my chances and another kid who was a really good player too but everyone else sucked my ass. Chip leader of the tourney was absolutely terrible calling EVERY single hand no matter what the raise was preflop pretty much. But if he lost one pot he was short stacked so his play was terrible. We get down 8 handed and im in about 5th chip stack and pick up AsKs UTG with 27K left with blinds at 2K/4K...needless to say i shove all in and the chip leader insta calls 1/2 of his stack. Everyone else folds and he goes i dont have much and flips over 10d9d. Now i dont mind the call but for 1/2 your stack to become a normal stack when youre the chip leader is just a fucking terrible play especially with 6 players left to act behind him. Well he flops a 10 and turns a 9 and it's gg me and i played for 4 hours for $100 profit. Same kid went on to win the tourney for $2K. but 3 handed this kid picked up AA 3 times in 6 hands. Now that is fucking absurd.

So tonight i decide to play the $8k and $5r. The $5r was absolutely terrible as i won one single pot the whole tourney. I flopped the nuts and got it all in with the guys two pair and it held but that was during rebuy period. After break i come back to having a stack of 7.5K. There is a monster stack sittin 2 seats to my right who starts playing very very LAG. Raising my blinds is something i dont put up with and he did it 3 times in a row. The 4th time he raises my blind i have AJ off and just shove over the top of his 3x raise KNOWING my hand is 100% good and he's drawing to either 3 outs or 6 outs and im willing to take that chance knowing if he has KQ or something he cant call. Well he tanks for a minute then calls with A 5 off and hits his 5 on the river gg me.

Onto the $8K i ran this tourney soooooo good and i am very pleased with my 5th place finish for $545 profit. Was pretty short right on the bubble and doubled up a few times to get enough chips so i could "rock the bubble". And i did so with a huge smile on my face cause i love it. Got pot committed into calling 2 all ins but my cards were live and i didnt get any luck so i took a little hit to my stack but held in there to get to the final table. Got pretty damn card dead at the Final Table and was sittin back lettin them knock each other out. 3rd hand of 5 handed i pick up QQ UTG i shove for my last 28K wit blinds at 1500/3000. Big blind (Belandator) calls 30-40% of his stack with 22. Catches runner runner for the wheel and gg me. Now i talked to him and he tried to justify his call saying that i could of very well had AJ-AK and that he was willing to take that shot. From that standpoint risking THAT many chips 5 handed is a very -EV situation in the long run in my opinion. You are 75% of the time drawing to 2 outs or a 4 card straight and it's not worth the risk to end up short stacked in the tourney that late in the game. Why not wait for a better spot and let the small pocket pair go. Anyways he sucked out 4 times to get to that position and went on to take the tourney down. MUST BE NICE to run that lucky.

But needless to say im back to my old self whatever the fuck was wrong with me before and watch out for me in the month of February.
